ValuesThe Partnership relies heavily on the participation of a voluntary board of directors and a wide range of willing, able and diverse partner organisations who have agreed to help us implement our plans. This makes it all the more important to establish an agreed value base so that we each work to a set of common standards as we represent the interests of the Partnership. | Which means that…
| Giving priority to the most disadvantaged
| We will target activities and resources towards communities suffering greatest disadvantage and multiple deprivation. This will mean a focus on the most statistically deprived neighbourhoods and on the causes of this deprivation.
| Working in partnership
| We will operate through a partnership model, involving all stakeholders in a collaborative approach to tackling disadvantage and deprivation in East Belfast. In practice, this will mean seeking to involve a range of organisations in the planning and implementation of regeneration programmes. It also means that the Partnership will mostly rely on others for programme delivery.
| Social inclusion
| We will involve local people, especially those from disadvantaged communities and those, hard-to-reach in addressing the needs of East Belfast.
| Being open and accountable
| We will operate in an open, accountable and transparent manner. This will mean making our decisions in an open manner and making our minutes, reports and financial accounts available for public scrutiny.
| Equality
| We will respect and include all shades of opinion in our work, taking into account the diverse needs of all the people of the area. We will do everything we can to create equality of opportunity for Board members, partners, employees and the citizens of the area.
| Sustainability
| As we make our plans and take decisions, we will take into account issues of long term sustainability, both for the area and for the Partnership itself.
