You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) is Chief Executive of East Belfast Partnership, where he has overall responsibility for management and strategic development. Maurice also has overall responsibility for two subsidiary companies, both leading social enterprises in Belfast – Avec Solutions, a business support consultancy providing IT and web related services alongside photography and management and finance consultancy, and Landmark East, a property development company.

Maurice is one of the most experienced social economy practitioners in Northern Ireland, having been directly responsible for initiating and managing a number of community businesses over the past 15 years, including an espresso bar, home care service, community transport scheme, weekly newspaper and a property company. During the 1990s, when the social economy was in its infancy in NI, he chaired the East Belfast Development Agency, which delivered the innovative community business programme in the east of the city.

In addition to managing the Partnership and its social economy companies, Maurice also works on a consultancy basis through Avec Solutions. His key areas of expertise include strategic management, project management, organisational business planning, team leadership, corporate governance and group facilitation.

Outside of the partnership Maurice sits on the board of a number of third sector organisations including CO3, Beat Carnival Company, the Orchardville Society and Headway.

With primary degrees in theology and social studies, Maurice has completed a number of post-graduate qualifications in organisational management, human resource management and business improvement.
