A Toast to Hoartio Todd's for Pub of the Year

East Belfast's very own Horatio Todd's were recently awarded a number of accolades: Pub of the Year; Best Pub Food; and Best New / Improved Pub.  Excellent news following a very successful 1st year of business.

Community Garden Information Evening - 8th November

East Belfast Partnership has been awarded funding from DRD Roads Service and the Alpha programme to transform this site on the Newtownards Road across from McDonalds.  These buildings will be demolished and replaced with a Community Garden.  We would like local people to get involved in selecting plants, gardening and creating a heritage information panel.

East Belfast Arts Festival Information Event - 12th October

Engine Room Gallery, Newtownards Road, Belfast.

Over 80 people turned up in the Engine Room Gallery on the 12th of October 2012, to hear visual artists Deirdre Robb and Lesley Cherry, music promoter Gavin Bloomer and East Belfast Partnership CEO Maurice Kinkead speak about their passion, hopes, fears and ambitions for the East Belfast Arts Festival, due to take place in June 2012.  For more information visit the East Belfast Arts Festival Interest page on Facebook.

Pedestrian and Cycle Links in East Belfast

East Belfast Partnership in conjunction with a number of partners is developing pedestrian and cycle linkages in and out of East Belfast into Titanic Quarter, this image illustrates the various proposals.  Key partners include SIB, Sustrans, BHC, BCC, DRD Roads Service, DSD and Translink.  It is likely that work on continuation of the Comber Greenway Cycle Route 99 (orange line) will commence later this year and will be completed in time for the opening of Titanic Belfast in April 2012.  Please call Lisa on 9046 7924 for further information.

Saving Our Built Heritage

Today EBP staff enjoyed a fascinating tour of the historic Templemore Avenue Baths building and the new innovative housing project led by Hearth in McMaster Street.
