EastSide Learning seeks Voluntary Chairperson

EastSide Learning was established in 2014 to promote partnership working between schools and the community in east Belfast and agree a strategic direction for education in the east of the city. Members of the EastSide Learning Partnership (ESLP) include school representatives, education officials, cross –party public representatives, the business sector and community partners; it is a sub- group of the EastSide Partnership.

Having launched a Framework Document in March 2015 outlining our vision, we are looking for a Chairperson with the passion and commitment to help us deliver this.

We expect that the Chair will have an understanding of the key issues impacting in the education sector and recognise the need for better co-ordination of effort between schools, communities and families; to ensure that all our children can enjoy learning.

We are seeking someone who will be confident facilitating and leading EastSide Learning and who can make the appropriate connections in partner and other stakeholder organisations: a Chairperson who will champion and advocate for the needs and views of members and exert influence at policy level.

While the role of Chair is voluntary, out of pocket expenses are payable.
