EastSide Sessions: Anthony Toner
Anthony Toner plays his first #EastSideSession at EastSide Visitor Centre as part of the continuing promotion for his latest collection, Ink. The acclaimed album finds the Belfast-based songwriter in top form on a series of stripped back, acoustic-based songs dealing with the big themes of love, loss and happiness.
It’s been a decade since Anthony sprang onto the Northern Ireland music scene with his much-loved song ‘Sailortown’, and since then he has continued to move forward, playing live dates across the UK as well as in Canada and in Nashville and Austin, releasing a string of albums packed with radio-friendly, insightful songs that lodge themselves in the heart and won’t leave, like ‘East of Louise’, ‘Well Well Well’, ‘The Road to Fivemiletown’ and more.
As always, expect all of these songs with selections from the new album, some beautiful guitar playing and singing and some great stories from the road.
