Urban Villages NI: Community- led approaches to Tourism
We are delighted to be involved in a shared learning event on community–led approaches to tourism hosted by Urban Villages NI.
The event will highlight strategic initiatives led by tourism bodies, local government and other organisations; and collaborative community-led approaches across Belfast and Derry~Londonderry. The event has been inspired by community led tourism projects in the EastSide Urban Village area which include:

AuthentiCity Scheme enabling residents to tell the stories of their areas

Technology supporting the East Belfast Augmented Reality story

EastSide Voices – Tourism through Communities shaped by Conflict
Attendees will:
- Share learning on local tourism and maximising community benefits
- Hear from regional and local government tourism leaders
- Exhibition showcasing innovative community led projects

Date: 28 March 2018
Time: 10am–1pm (followed by lunch)
Following the event, attendees can experience local tours highlighting cross-community perspectives and showcasing the use of technology (places will be limited).
