A week long programme of events and activities called ‘Living the Green Way’ will take place on Connswater Community Greenway, encouraging people to live ‘greener and healthier lifestyles’ from 12th to 19th September. The programme will also mark the third anniversary of the completion of the Connswater Community Greenway.

The programme of activities will take place online and offline. The offline events will take place in different venues along the Connswater Community Greenway with a highlight being an Urban Market on 12th September at C.S. Lewis Square.

Education Minister Peter Weir and Justice Minister Naomi Long visited the EastSide Learning STEM summer school which provides targeted educational support in the local community.

The cross-Executive funded summer school is delivering activities, to children in P5-P7, in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects around the theme ‘Keeping Safe in a Pandemic’.

The summer school is part of the Wrap programme, which is an educational support pilot programme for children and young people.

From the 6th - 16th August join EastSide Arts as they present an 11-day programme of inspiring and creative events featuring music, theatre, literature, story-telling, visual art, talks and tours under the theme, Moments of Joy.  This year’s events can be enjoyed online from the comfort of your own home, outdoors in person, or in a small number of east Belfast locations as part of a live, socially distanced audience.

This year's EastSide Arts Festival will take place from 6 - 16 August. This year’s Festival is coming to you both live and online with lots of events for you to enjoy in person or from the comfort of your home.

EastSide Greenways, the team responsible for managing the Connswater Community Greenway at EastSide Partnership, recently conducted a survey to determine how the open and green spaces of the Greenway have had a positive impact during lockdown. The Connswater Community Greenway has remained open throughout the Covid-19 lockdown and has proved to be a vital resource for local communities, encouraging safe connectivity and positive health and well-being.

We are delighted to announce that acclaimed local operators, The Writers Café Group will be operating JACK Coffee Bar from Friday 12th June. The Writers Café Group are best known for their award-winning Lamppost Café and the newly established Flannels Café in House of Fraser.

 JACK will re-open for takeaway only. Social distancing and additional hygiene measures will be in place within JACK Coffee Bar so you can be assured of your safety and the safety of staff.

Please note that only the ground floor of EastSide Visitor Centre will be re-opening at this time.
